Yesterday, OSV member Grace Didway led a discussion with high schoolers from Albany and Oregon City on advanced learning courses in our schools. She then facilitated a conversation with students and education leaders from the Chief Education Office, Oregon Department of Education, Higher Education Coordinating Commission, Oregon Student Association, and college administrators to understand how we can improve advanced learning offerings. We are excited to be involved in connecting students with policy makers, and amplifying the student voices!
To learn more about the event, check out the Chief Education Office's press release: "Students sit at the table with policy makers to talk about accelerated learning."
We were also featured in a Clackamas Review article about the event: "6 Oregon City High School students meet with state policymakers."
